Re-shooting and re-editing.

After feedback from various people viewing my edited film trailer, I got many ideas and constructive criticism to re shoot certain shots. For example, the mid shot of Mitchell and I talking is in front of a green wall, this does not loom professional as many of the comments I recieved were why did I leave the shot on a green screen, therefore we reshot this in a room with different sorroundings to make it more realistic and professional. Other shots we re shot were the boss talking, the lines "I want you to kill her" and the shots of him in the office. As a member of the group who originally played this character was absent, another group member took on the role and stepped in instead. We reshot this because the lighting was dim and very poor quality which did not make my film trailer come across well. Another shot we re-filmed was the phone call, originally the phone number came up as 'the boss' although we were told to stick to the genre of action/thriller this was unrealistic as in this genre of film numbers would be left unknown, therefore for re-filming we ensured the number came up as unknown.

Re-editing: Originally the film trailer was over 2 minutes and realistically was out of the time scale for a teaser trailer, therefore in order to reduce the length, shots were made shorter and many shots were erased as after feedback I was told they were not needed and were irrelevant. These involved shots of the plan on the board, certain running shots, certain shots of characters and getaway scenes. We often found ourseleves repeating things also, therefore by removing these shots out trailer became clear and the storyline was obvious.
Comments were also made on the music and flow of the trailer. We were advised to remove one piece of music as it was not needed and use the transition tools on premierpro on certain parts of the trailer to match the music and create a better view. Therefore by using many dip to blacks and crossfades, met the feedback from our audience. Another re-edit we did was the scene which shows love between Ella and the hitman. With the shot of the birds flying away we were told in between the lengthy shot to add the shot of Ella being picked up, we were told it was as if 'as the birds fly away, he picks up a bird' meaning the women. Birds often fly away when they fear they are in danger, by the hitman picking up Ella it connotes she is in danger.
