Font ideas

For my film I have to ensure the font is recognisable, so that when people see it they will know what film is is associated with. For example Harry Potter, 007 and twilight all have a specific font when we see this font we know that it is relating to these films. Here are some ideas of fonts for my film title....

This font is called defused, it works well with my film as the lettering looks as if it has been shattered by a gunshot, relating to my genre of film. The bold l
ettering also
makes the title stand out and easy to read, giving it more of a dramatic effect.

This font is 28 days later, although it has the effect of a thriller font, not much action genre is portrayed in this title, this would be more appropriate for a horror film.

This font is soul mission, this font would be appropriate for the genre of film, although it is not easy to read from a distance due to certain letters being wiped out in certain areas.

This is the trashed font, although it appears too playful for a film title of the genre action/thriller.

In the end I decided to go for the 'defused' font (top) as it is the easiest to read and portrays my film genre well. It has the serious and creative edge I want for my film trailer as it has the effect of being shot, it is bold and eye catching. For choosing my font I used the website www.dafont.com
